About MACFE

MACFE is a non-profit, volunteer organization that was founded by concerned parents in 1982. We are the oldest childbirth education organization in Winnipeg. We are dedicated to helping families before, during and after the birth of a child and we stress options in childbirth, informed choice and we support a woman’s right to choose her caregiver.
MACFE participates in advisory groups as a consumer representative and works with other groups, organizations and government with issues concerning the care of women, infants and their families. All of our programs aim to be responsive to expressed needs of consumers and to reflect the motto: “Educating, Supporting, Empowering.
