What is a Postpartum Doula?
​
A postpartum doula provides practical and emotional support to a family during the first few weeks after the birth of their baby. The postpartum period can be intense. It is a time of adjustment for everyone involved, be it your first or eighth child. A postpartum doula will come along side the whole family with practical care, assurance, and information with the aim of developing confidence and assisting them in the early weeks of navigating parenting, and adjusting to life with their new child.

Services that POSTPARTUM Doulas can provide include:

   • infant feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding)
   • coping skills for new parents
   • infant soothing techniques
   • infant care
   • light housework (tidying, washing and ironing, light cleaning)
   • helping older siblings adjust
   • providing overnight support
   • education and information on parenting issues and infant care

Postpartum doulas don’t provide medical support, offer medical advice, or make decisions for parents.
​They are not nannies, housecleaners, or a personal masseuse.

RATES
​

Postpartum Day Session (BETWEEN 7am-7pm): 

- Price: $140 FOR 4 hours-
Extra hours can be added on at the rate of $35/hr

Our doulas will make a schedule with you based on your needs,
​if applicable WE will facilitate making a postpartum plan with you beforehand.
​

Postpartum Overnight Session (BETWEEN 7pm-7am): 

- Price: $220 FOR 4 HOURS -
Extra hours can be added on at the rate of $55/hr

​Our doulas will make a schedule with you based on your needs,
if applicable WE will facilitate making a postpartum plan with you beforehand.
